This episode was like a breather after the intense action marathon of the last few episodes, but it still hints at what's to come.
A Glimpse into Sunraku's Life
We see Sunraku outside of the main game for once, checking in on his real life. His skills from the busted games are now giving him an advantage in top-tier programmed games like Frontier. Why? VR games transfer his real-world thinking into the game. Imagine broken games are like training with heavy weights – and in Frontier, he just lets them drop!
The reason? Many of these games are based on virtual reality. It feels like he's transferring skills directly from the real world into the game. Playing broken games is like strength training for him – as soon as he plays Frontier, he can master everything much more easily.
Even though the episode was relatively calm, the animation team really delivered. Even minor fights, which only introduce side characters, are animated better than many other series currently. Respect to the team!
Return to Authentic Gaming Culture
What's really fun is that the episode shows genuine gamer life. Sunraku acts like we all do: He checks forums, compares his achievements with others, and plans his next steps – for example, he's moving to the next city because more players will be online in the summer.
This allows us to learn information and secrets at exactly his pace. But beware, fame has its risks: A screenshot of him with his bunny buddy is already circulating. This is sure to make him a target for trolls or annoying fans…
In the end: A solid episode that makes you eager for the next adventures. Not too hectic, but with enough detail to keep you hooked!
