An action-packed first trailer for the second season of DAN DA DAN has dropped, promising new clashes for Okarun, Momo, and their allies. Before its regular streaming release on July 3rd, the anime will first be screened in theaters as DAN DA DAN: Evil Eye, starting in May/June.

DAN DA DAN Season 2 – First Anime Trailer Studio Science SARU is handling the animation, with Fuga Yamashiro directing. Hiroshi Seko is in charge of series composition, while Naoyuki Onda is designing the characters. The first season of the anime was already streamed by Crunchyroll and Netflix, and both platforms have confirmed that they will also be showing the sequel. The main Japanese cast includes:

Origin of the Story and Popularity of the Anime

Yukinobu Tatsu writes and illustrates the DAN DA DAN manga, which began serialization in 2021 on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+. The story revolves around high school student Momo and her classmate Ken Takakura. Momo comes from a family of spiritual mediums, while Ken is a believer in the occult.

After their experiment went awry, Ken (now known as Okarun) was cursed and gained Yokai powers. Later, they met Aira, who was also cursed, and Jiji is the group's newest member (hinting at a pattern). The anime frequently reached top positions in our weekly rankings, even leading them twice. We had the opportunity to interview both the Japanese and English voice actors of DAN DA DAN. From the Japanese cast, we spoke with Shion Wakayama, the voice of Momo. The series director, Fuga Yamashiro, was also present. On the English side, we interviewed Abby Trott and AJ Beckles, who voice Momo and Okarun, respectively.
