New Viewers Discover BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War
While Adult Swim introduces BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War to a new audience, or perhaps offers a convenient way to catch up on the series, many are still waiting for the release date for the fourth and final cour: The Calamity. BLEACH creator Tite Kubo hinted at original content, which has already provided fans with an extended fight between Ichigo and Uryu, as well as an entirely new fight between Renji and Uryu. PIERROT FILMS will continue to be responsible for the animation production. Hikaru Murata was promoted to series director starting with Cour 3, while the previous series director Tomohisa Taguchi took on the role of chief director.
The BLEACH release date on Toonami is set for May 18th. All episodes are available on Hulu and Disney Plus, where the anime is described as follows: "As a new enemy appears, Substitute Soul Reaper Ichigo Kurosaki jumps back into the battlefield with his Zanpakuto to help those in need."
Conclusion
It remains to be seen how the new audience will react to the series and when the final cour will air in the U.S. Previous reactions on Hulu and Disney Plus have been overwhelmingly positive, indicating a strong interest in the continuation of the story.
